Square Foot Gardening Calculator — SFG Plant Counts
Plan a square foot garden with correct plant counts per square.
How We Calculate This
The bed is divided into 30 cm × 30 cm squares. Each square is planted according to the crop spacing needs.
Squares = Floor(Length ÷ 0.3) × Floor(Width ÷ 0.3). Total plants = Squares × Plants per square.
Standard counts: 1 (large plants), 4 (medium), 9 (small), 16 (tiny root veg).
